EXPERIENCE

Cogit Corporation, San Francisco, CA                       April 1997 - Present
Senior Software Developer.

* Head of User Interface development at Cogit Corporation, a rapidly growing
  software startup in San Francisco that specializes in Marketing Automation.
  Responsibilities include designing and developing front end client products
  on the Windows 95/NT platforms for visualizing the output of the two engines
  that the company has: one for market basket analysis and the other for
  predictive modelling. The client products are developed in Visual C++ 5.0.


Informix Software, Inc., San Francisco, CA                July 1995 - April 1997
(formerly Stanford Technology Group)
Senior Software Developer.

* Designed, developed, tested and released version 3.0 of MetaCube Explorer,
  an ad-hoc query and reporting tool for end users to query the data warehouse.
  Explorer is an OLE Automation client that connects to MetaCube, the data 
  warehousing engine that provides multidimensional access to Informix databases.
  Explorer was written in Visual Basic 4.0 and Visual C++ 4.1 on Windows NT/95,
  and I was the lead developer on this project.

* Designed, developed, tested and released OLE Custom Controls (OCXs) that are
  used by MetaCube Explorer, as well as by other applications.

* Designed, developed, tested and released version 2.1 of the client products 
  for MetaCube. The client products include MetaCube Explorer, MetaCube 
  Warehouse Manager, an administrative tool for managing the data warehouse, 
  and MetaCube Agent Administrator, a tool to administer intelligent agents. 

  Stanford Technology Group was acquired by Informix in November 1995.


Oracle Corporation, Redwood Shores, CA                     June 1992 - July 1995
Technical Staff.

* Designed and developed part of the UI subsystem along with a team of 4 other 
  developers for a new object-oriented application development tool, using
  Visual C++/MFC on Windows NT. The project is known as Sedona. My role in 
  the team involved evolving the architecture of the UI subsystem, geometry 
  management, implementing widgets including Windows Common Controls, etc.

* Developed an internal WWW page for the above project using HTML.

* Designed and developed a prototype GUI for Sedona,  using Objective C and 
  NeXT's Interface Builder and Appkit on NeXTStep. I was the sole implementor 
  of the prototype, and we demonstrated the prototype to the CEO of the 
  company, as a result of which the full-scale project was conceived.

* Designed, developed, tested and tuned a new financial application, Oracle 
  Commissions. Involved E-R modeling of the application in CASE, writing 
  PL/SQL stored procedures and Pro*C programs on top of  ORACLE7, and 
  profiling and performance tuning of the code.

  Science I, an introductory course on computer programming.

  relational databases, using C++.
