10/15/96 :originally made as a 1.25" by BB in 1981 with the blessing of Bob Gruen who took the photo. When John died in 1980 the USSR was on the brink of sending the tanks into Poland. His death caused massive airplay of this song and possibly contributed to the avoidance of what might well have turned into WWIII.
