You've seen the movie and you can't believe what you've seen. You don't understand what you've seen, but you like it. And it scares you. Hillbilly Hercules is exactly the kind of entertainment you crave: wholesome, brash, and exciting with a dash of derring-do. It appeals to young and old alike by combining action, adventure, romance, music, and magic with humor and pathos. It speaks to the god and redneck in everyone. It makes you want to let your freak flag fly, to get in touch with your inner hillbilly. And when we talk of hillbillys, we're not talking about the possum-eatin', barefoot-wrasslin', cee-ment-pond-swimmin' yokels that are so innocent and wise until they wrap at 7:00, call their agents, then head over to the Viper Room to shoot speedballs. We're talking about the polyester and terry cloth set, the folks who never stopped wearing blue and yellow Adidas. The ones who still like Van Halen, even with Sammy Hagar. We're talking about the gun-shooting, beer-drinking, muscle car-driving people who just want to party and have a good time, and mind their own business. And we're all about that shit. Hillbilly Hercules 2 was shot in 4 different locations all over New York in one weekend. We brought in people from all over the country and worked guerilla style with a lean and mean crew. It was a completely independent production made for the sheer fun of doing it. It wasn't until we finished that we understood the potential of what we had started. The best thing about this character is that he translates easily to several media: movies, comic books, television, interactive multimedia, toys, and even toiletries. Not to mention that he is immortal, and the greatest hero of all time. Even Kevin Sorbo can play him and make a mint for Christ's sake! We want to expand the Hillbilly Hercules story across several formats to reach the widest possible audience. This is the first step. If you want to reach us or work with us in any of the above formats, contact us at aztecmm@dti.net. We'd appreciate any input or good jokes. May the Gods be with you! |
